Rest day. finished production and internet addiction

I've been reading my past post and God! I need to improve my writing skills. (*laughs)
I wonder why people still manage to read all the things I've written, I know it's not that bad but I need to fix this, put some interesting facts and get my story telling organized, that way you'll enjoy.

Okay to kick the countdown three weeks before the "grand graduation day" a small recap recent activities.

The University of Baguio has given me a a commision based work in organizing and preparing an Award Show for the Celebration of the founder's day Dr. Fernando G. Bautista.

After several meetings and and a rigous planning  I was task to create a vtr  presentation for the awards show, which is quite difficult because. I'm a one man team, script writing, research shooting, editing.

Nothing comes easy, I took the challenge, believed in my skills (although it was very exausting) how Iwish my production team was here.

Kirk Balmonte & Ace Caguioa

Well, kirk is a team. I mean he is worth an army for a teamate and Ace is like a chubby brain of ideas that can move everything in place (if that even makes sense) Everything will be smooth.

But I'm all alone, I need to get my ass working.

Pros
1. free lunch.
2. a pleasant honoraruim
3. a sure shot for employment

Cons
1 the academic part suffered a lot.
2 i haven't been able to socialize
3 stress kicks a lot harder and sinks deeper

a balanced life.

So after 3 weeks of ass pulling work, a miracle happened, i finsihed it!  and i'm glad. i can sleep better now.
one man, one award show, a friggin sigh.

That explains the "Phantom Hiatus" in facebook twitter and YM
(Phantom Hiatus is from a word recess or break with phantom is from phantom opera who lurks behind the stage,so Phantom Hiatus means o like socially in active but constantly lurking and observing)

Diway a friend of mine (click here for her blog) commited a social cyber suicide.
killed herself online. well not totally since she has a working blog hopefully she can't keep that updated.

One common thing about Phantom Hiatus and Social Cybersuicide is they both cut the link of communication on the world of internet, from your firends and pals.

I have to admit I'm a cyber addict but thank goodness I controlled it before it's too late  now hehe,
Began as a simple "keep-in-touch-with-your-friends" has now been a serious addiction in social netoworking site, plus with added applications "to-kill-time" has "eaten-the-time" specially the time to be productive.

Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia, Twitter, Myspace… the list is endless. Millions of us are addicted. The Government tells us that our time wasting internet addictions are costing the country billions of dollars every year. Our productivity at work is dismal because we spend most of the day reading our Fun Wall or checking out our favorite blogs. Can this additive behavior be beaten?
Hereare some tips you can do if your a facebook addict

Turn your profile into a pile of useless data! This is another way to delete a Facebook account, and you might have fun doing it. When you wake up the next day, your profile is gone. For good. Amen.
  • Delete all your "friends" - unless you want to show the World you're quitting for good.
  • Change the profile’s name - you can do that. Be sure to choose something really lousy.
  • Fill it up with offensive content - texts, dubious pics and all.
  • State clearly that FaceBook employees are just a bunch of - beep - beep - beep - fill in the beeps with the most politically incorrect insults.
  • Invite lots of randomly picked people to become your “friends”.
Think of other things you could be doing with your time spent on Facebook. If you find yourself spending, say, 10 hours a week on Facebook, make a list of all the other things you could accomplish in that time. You could:

  • pick up a part time job and invest that money in stocks
  • teach a child how to throw a football
  • get fit
  •     * get a girlfriend
  • build a gas scooter or an adobe wall
  • calculate the center of gravity
  • volunteer
  • Read a book
  • teach yourself a new language
  • make a papasan chair cushion

Write down what you used to do before Facebook
Something that can be really useful to do is write down a list of things that you used to do before you got addicted to Facebook or Myspace. For example, some people might write, “I used to meet girls”. :)
Try and reconnect with what you used to do before these sites became such a big part of your life. Some of you will be quite surprised at how much you now do not do because you are spending so much time on the internet. You may also notice that around the same time your waistline suddenly got bigger…

okay here'sa very cool thing if your always in front of a computer like me. it's called keep me out.
The primary purpose of KeepMeOut is to prevent surfers from repeatedly visiting websites when they should be doing other things instead. During revision, for example, people tend to check their email far more often that they need to. By giving these warnings, KeepMeOut allows users to manage their time more efficiently
