Paranorman: A nice new taste of horror

Creating a horror movie is a hard shit.
You have to set the mood, the effects and all the gore, screams and a whole lot of running, hiding, heart-pounding scenes. Sometimes it gets to be dull and stupid.

Paranorman: A nice new taste of horror
But in this case, ParaNorman just brought a new dish in the genre with a classic touch of stop-motion animation with witty characters this would place Tim Burton movies on the side.

Comedy and horror, two of the most difficult thing to   combine. Getting the right balance and taste to deliver that right punch line with a goosebumps on your skin.
Only few movies had made that right formula.

"This would be a nice movie if you want to introduce horror to your kids" noted by my girlfriend while we watch on a cold windy night.

Remember when you were playing your toys when you were young, making some dialogue and creating a story. Place that entertainment high and create a whole new world put some spooky ghost and zombies. That is how good the team told the story of Norman, an unlikely boy who gets into this weird town curse.

The best bit would be the zombies tey would pu a smile on your face and also curse them along the way.
Another great deal about this movie is how story unfolds while you follow Norman in the path of uncertainty and knowing his true self crap thingy.

Here's a video on how the creators fit the puzzles together, the effort they push in this film is undeniably awesome, I adore stop-motion because I think the art raw and difficult to craft. There are only few notable films like Chicken Run who made it into the silver screen with the 3D features. ParaNorman deserves a 5star rating. So you better go watch it.

Cheers
