A stand on same sex marriages in Baguio city.

This topic is a bit sensitive, opinions are based mostly on arguments of both side of the party gathered and summarized in this article, the author is not defending any sides, but rather presenting the current facts.

A heated debates online and on the press regarding the so called "Same sex marriage" that occurred  during the last week of June, the ceremony was held on a local bar in City area by ten couples from the third sex, and then accompanied by freedom parade the day after.

Then all of a sudden this paved way to a bill that had been passed over the congress regarding the "Anti-Discrimination Law" or the HB 1483 that aims to secure the so called rights of the third sex.

Then the fight started.

Points to pounder....

They conducted the christian "wedding" without any legal basis, then afterwards they change the term into just a "same sex union"  maybe to avoid legal claims.

Myke Sotero the pastor who conducted the ceremony said in one of the articles that

“I cannot see (the filing of a case having) any legal leg to stand on. It was a religious rite, not a civil rite that was officiated,”

Maybe he is right, no civil rite was offended and saved by religion. As always.

So it's a battle against religion vs. religion which of course no one wins.

I'm just wondering, As a marketing and advertising practitioner this is a great stage for me to promote the Bill. It will create awareness and like they always say, there is no bad publicity, the best thing here is we are talking about it, writing about it, arguing over the issue and it will create popularity and awareness.

The gays, lesbians and transgender will shout DISCRIMINATION! DISCRIMINATION! pass the BILL!

What happens if the bill is passed.

Third cubicle maybe? Made specially for them.
Teach a grade one student that its okay to marry a same sex.
Or even maybe tax exemption just for them.

okay maybe I went overboard on the last one but who knows?

This bill only works for them, the only few.
They think they are being discriminated but they are not.

There vote is the same as my vote.
They ride the same jeep like I do.
They eat in places I eat.
Use the same cubicle (maybe)

Society would be confused are they are if this is passed.

We are all the same male and female have their rights and that is the way it should be.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing.

Morality.

What is good is not what fancy talkers say that bend the thought just to make it sound good.

The basic principle of life.

Simple.

From single cell organism, from plants that reproduce, to animals that mates, all is to create life and live justly.

Marriage is sacred.

It's not about the "modernization"

They can be partners for life, but not get married and destroy to essence of marriage. It's between MAN and a WOMAN.

if the reason is love, it's not enough.

I love my dog, should I marry a dog?
