Azkals, the underdogs proves IT!

RANGOON—The Philippine football team, drenched, and on an emotional high, runs around the pitch one final time.
Chieffy Caligdong, one of the acknowledged leaders of the squads, leads the cheer, “Pilipinaaas!” The entire squad follows with a roar, “Win-win-win!”
I'm not a huge football fan, I know a thing or two from playing, rules and a simple match with friends and that's it, I had no idea i'll be good at it. When I joined the call center industry, I enlisted myself on one of the football club, and everything started and it was a blast.

Philippines is known for being a basketball country, every community has its own Basketball court, every kid knows that 24 is for Jordan and Orange and Purple is Lakers. But despite the frustrations of limited hight which an average standard Filipino only reaches like 5'5 we play it good like an NBA on the streets.

The idea of soccer/football here in my country is not that popular, from 1 to 10 of all the ball games football would be in the 10th place.

Filipinos are fast runners, with light body structure, strong stamina, and big brown eyes, it's definite that we can play the game like a killing machine.

And yes we shocked that world, a pride for each and every Pinoys, High hopes for the Philippine Team Azkals, and people are getting involve.

We made history, and come to think of it Philippine Booters / PHL XI being the oldest football nationals in Asia since 1907, and was known in its early years between 1913 and 1934 with a great amount of success, I read in article that Filipino's used to kick coconut instead of soccer ball, and they usually play in the rice fields.

In May 10 1917 was the biggest run with Japan 2 - 15 Philippines. Imagine that, and if you still feel a bit skeptical during the The President Aquino Cup PH XI finished in 4th Place.
And now on another Aquino administration a Azkals made history for the first time ever, on 2012 AFC we are set for the finals! It was a hard battle for the team and I must say, once again. I'm proud to be a Filipino.

Cheers!
